Celtic Creature Festival
The Celtic Creature Festival is a family-friendly meet-and-greet where young adventurers can meet magical beings inspired by Irish folklore. Spend time chatting with selkies, brownies, and other curious creatures before settling in for a screening of the animated film Wolfwalkers.
Thursdays
Society Tabletop Adventure Night
Every Thursday, the Van Helsing Society invites recruits to gather for a supernatural tabletop RPG set among myths, monsters, and forgotten lore. Led by one of our resident creatures as Game Master, players collaborate to investigate mysteries, negotiate with beings of legend, and influence an unfolding story.

Each RPG adventure is designed as a one-shot with an adventure that will start and complete in the same night. Stories change from week to week and game master to game master.

We offer monthly, rotating events every Friday.
Week 1
Monster Open Mic
An open mic for monsters, mythic beings, and the humans who study them. Comedy, music, poetry, and supernatural confessions welcome.
Week 2
Myths & Legends Trivia
From Greek gods to modern cryptids, Myths & Legends Trivia challenges your knowledge of folklore, fantasy, and legendary beasts.
Week 3
Lorecast Live Recording
Witness the Lorecast recorded live at Society Headquarters — featuring field reports, folklore analysis, and in-person creature encounters you won’t hear on the podcast.
Week 4
Magic Making & Mocktails
Create something magical, sip a handcrafted potion, and spend the evening among fellow makers at our monthly Magic Making & Mocktails gathering.

Mythical Storytime
with Fantasy Friends
Join us every Sunday for Van Helsing Society Story Time, where a mythical creature steps out of legend to read to young listeners. Discover international folklore, meet surprise puppet creature guests, and share a cozy, interactive moment of wonder.

Van Helsing Society events are immersive and interactive — participation is always invited, never required. You are welcome to engage as much or as little as you like.

What to Wear:
Everyday human attire is welcome. Costumes and themed outfits are encouraged, and adored, but never required.

Select events offer themed beverages and light fare. Some events are 21+ — please check individual listings.

High Tea
Greet the spring in the presence of the High Unicorn with magical brews and sweet and savory bites. Bask in a Beltane-inspired gathering with plenty of time for enchanted photos and whimsical revelry.

Midsummer Nightmare
A dark fae twist on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, presented as a staged reading and midsummer soiree. Sip, mingle, and wander into a realm where the fair folk are beautiful, dangerous, and watching.
