The Mythological Petting Zoo

Step into a world of legends at Audacious Immersive’s Mythological Petting Zoo, a family-friendly creature encounter with magical critters straight from your favorite folktales!

The Van Helsing Society is welcoming supernatural conservationists of all ages to get up close and personal with these fantastical creatures. Throughout this three-hour open-house-style event, guests can come and go at their own pace as they meet a collection of fantastical creatures and the knowledgeable handlers responsible for their care. Get an up-close look at a (not too scary!) serpent dragon, a troll, a baby kraken and more! Hear the stories and legends surrounding them, and learn a little about what it takes to safely interact with these magical inhabitants of our world.

Young adventurers can make even more of their visit with optional activities available throughout the event, including filling in their own Creature Passport, building a fairy house, and storytelling performances!

Themed food and drinks will also be available for purchase.

The Mythological Petting Zoo is designed as a playful, immersive experience for the whole family. There is no required arrival time — guests are welcome to arrive anytime between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM and explore for as long as they like.

Society Tabletop Adventure Night

Every Second Thursday, the Van Helsing Society invites recruits to gather for a supernatural tabletop RPG set among myths, monsters, and forgotten lore. Led by one of our resident creatures as Game Master, players collaborate to investigate mysteries, negotiate with beings of legend, and influence an unfolding story.

Each RPG adventure is designed as a one-shot with an adventure that will start and complete in the same night. Stories change from week to week and game master to game master.

Mythical Storytime
with Fantasy Friends

Join us every Sunday for Van Helsing Society Story Time, where a mythical creature steps out of legend to read to young listeners. Discover international folklore, meet surprise puppet creature guests, and share a cozy, interactive moment of wonder.

Van Helsing Society events are immersive and interactive — participation is always invited, never required. You are welcome to engage as much or as little as you like.

What to Wear:

Everyday human attire is welcome. Costumes and themed outfits are encouraged, and adored, but never required.

Select events offer themed beverages and light fare. Some events are 21+ — please check individual listings.

Each Saturday, they'll interview a different Yuletide Sovereign—from Krampus to La Befana—to determine whether they could use a little elven assistance. Meet the candidates, learn about their unusual holiday traditions, and help the Commission decide: is this the kind of Christmas boss an elf would actually want to work for?
